Float like a butterfly!

Hello Everyone! Hope you are off to a great week. Today’s post does not have to do with fashion. I wanted to collaborate with an organization that works towards betterment of the environment and habitat of birds and animals. This is because I have kids around and want to make sure that we leave a beautiful world for them. Most of you reading this are probably able to relate and in the same situation.

By the time most of you read this, I will be heading back to my office to start the week. We have had the most glorious weekend at a Butterfly Park which will come up soon at Sec 53, Gurgaon.I have been so blessed to have worked with “Uthaan” and am so thankful each time I get asked to collaborate for any project. Our group of mothers and kids contributed a little by painting a wall with Butterfly theme and planting trees. Though we are not perfect painters but we had great minds and artistic instinct with us. Along with fellow mothers, to give us a hand was a daring father. To my surprise even dads seem to be really artistic these days.

What is great, is that our “Chic at Every Age” group is starting to get more collaborations which means that we all get to spend quality time together more. I can’t tell you how much I love these women. With Mother’s Day on the horizon, I believe we made the most of this unique experience. Painting the wall with its own rawness was absolute celebration of being parents. To me, I can’t think of a more rewarding title, and I have always loved being a parent.

My mother spent a lot of time with me doing different activities, and that is the most important thing…spending time. I haven’t been as good as I would like to, spending time with myson. At this point in my life, I thought I wouldn’t be doing much. Well, I was wrong. I love having this blog, but I haven’t figured out how to balance everything. Hopefully, I will figure it out, and who knows what I might be doing next year.

This day gave me and my son a feeling of accomplishment. We planted trees and gave our little contribution towards mother Earth. I am sure everyone present there had similar feelings and yes it was a fun picnic with lots of delicious food courtesy these amazing women. Idlis, sandwiches, popcorns, cookies and what not on my platter was reward of such beautiful work. Cherry on the cake was the nimbupani to keep us hydrated during the sunny afternoon.

I hope you take time to celebrate parenthood and in case willing to contribute then go paint a wall or plant a tree on your name. I bet you will love it.

Have a fun filled week!
