I am a firm believer in keeping the spirit alive in friendships! Girl time is a “must” in my life, because without it I would have a void that needed to be filled. So to break away from the routine and everyday stresses…. my girlies scheduled to have a book review session followed by watching the movie adaption of same. This was one book reading experience I just can’t keep to myself and was looking forward to the fabulous times of sharing.
A heartbreak love-story is probably not the first — nor the best — place to look for wisdom on love, but one thing I have learned in my years of reading is that sometimes the precise words you need to commit to your heart will be found in the least likely of places. For me, that unlikely place was Jojo Moyes release, “ME BEFORE YOU”. To quote a line from the book which has the essence of the theme:“I realized I was afraid of living without him. How is it you have the right to destroy my life, I wanted to demand of him, but I’m not allowed a say in yours?
But I had promised.” Jojo Moyes.
The process of choosing the right dress for such an occasion, for a person like me who has very specific versions of the characters in their heads if difficult. And not to mention the whole feel can be ruined with a poor choice. While struggling with my wardrobe and romancing thoughts of Will Traynor, I came across this beautiful feminine printed dress.
It is a lovely, organic, ethical and above all an Indian label which is not only good for the skin but also goes with the theme “ROMANCE”. This is a light and breezy cotton kurta with a delicate string and shiffon layering done in the front. The layering not only adds to the beauty and volume of the kurta but also gives me the idea of wearing it as a dress. I loved the fact that how this garment is constructed on the line which allows it to give a better fit even if it is slightly loose or tight. I choose purposely to go for a loose size to give me room to breathe comfortably!
The fabric gave me a soothing and refreshing feeling which was perfectly in line with my romantic mood for the day. This dress is an absolute match and added to the positivity that I drew from the book of the month. Life is about love, bravery and effort to redirect the path of life once it’s been pushed off course.
To give it a more feminine look and add quirkiness to the dress I paired it with my peach feather earrings. Complementing it with a pink nail paint makes it a hit.
You only get one life. It's actually your duty to live it as fully as possible.- Jojo Moyes.
