Pandit Jasraj's Authorized Biography By Sunita Budhiraja Released.

Legendary classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj unveils his first authorized biography, "Rasraj Pandit Jasraj," by Sunita Budhiraja at the TV Asia studios in Edison, N.J., July 17. The event was jointly hosted by the Consulate General of India in New York, TV Asia and the Pandit Jasraj Institute. The event was broadcast live on TV Asia as part of its nightly show, "Focus Live." The book release was followed by a 90-minute interaction with Pandit Jasraj, Consul General of India in New York Sandeep Chakravorty, Durga Jasraj, author Sunita Budhiraja, publisher Arun Maheshwari and TV Asia host and senior producer Vikas Nangia.

First authorized Biographical work on Pt Jasraj, the living legend. Authored by Sunita Budhiraja, over years of interactive sessions with the maestro, his disciples all over the world, his family and friends. The book has incidents and anecdotes from 88 years life span of Pt Jasraj from the time of his birth to the time he played Tabla and then to his becoming top most vocalist in Hindustani Classical Music.

The book was released in the United States last week and is to be released in India soon.

Pandit Jasraj belongs to the Mewati Gharana of Indian Classical. He is such an impeccable vocalist and there is no one like him who is so oracle in Hindustani Classical. But he had no easy path to what he has achieved till today. As fabulous is the journey of Pandit Jasraj, the same is with the story of his journey. The 534 pages long book about the life of Pandit Jasraj covers the stories which are before the birth of Pandit Jasraj, about his family, father and mother and his siblings till the present time. The book is full of tales about the childhood of Pandit Jasraj and also his little steps towards being a world fame vocalist from Hindustani Classical.

"Rasraj: Pandit Jasraj" by Sunita Budhiraja is a spendid book about the life of Pandit Jasraj, showing the world true mettle of Pandit Jasraj's journey in the field of Hindustani Classical Music. The book is the first and only authorised biographical work  on Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj.

Sunita Budhiraja is a renowned Hindi poet and author with 10 books to her credit. She has also edited Coffee Table books about Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Dr Vijay Mallya. Her works have been translated in English, Rumanian and Telugu. Sunita has done her Master’s from University of Delhi in Journalism and Hindi, Post graduate Diploma in Public Relations from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Advanced Diploma in French language from Alliance France’s. Ms. Sunita Budhiraja is also an entrepreneur and is running a PR Agency named Kindlewood Communications independently and  has also created facebook group named SixYardsAnd365Days where woman from across the world participate and post pictures.
