Constant pressure due to long hours of standing or walking: Prolong standing, walking, and running could lead to constant pressure on your feet will eventually lead to cracked heels.

Inappropriate shoes/ no shoes: Fitting and material of your shoes matters a lot. If you are not comfortable with your footwear change it. Even walking barefoot can cause damage to your feet’s skin.

Tips for healing your cracked heels!!

Honey and warm water: Take a small tub; add warm water in it so that you could dip your feet properly. Add 5-6 tablespoon of honey in it. Dip your feet till the skin is properly dumped. Now, with the help of a pumice stone, exfoliate your heels and toes. This removed dead and dry skin from the surface and your skin heals.

Aloe Vera Gel: We all know, aloe vera gel is one solution for maximum skin problems. Before sleeping clean your feet properly. Apply some aloe vera gel. Wear cotton socks and go to sleep. Wash your feet with warm water the next morning. You can see noticeable result after 3-4 use.

Petroleum Jelly: Again this is one thing we all need to have in our bag all the time. Petroleum jelly are long lasting very rich is moisture. Before going to bed clean your feet properly with warm water. Dry them properly. Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly. Wear a pair of cotton socks and go to bed. Let it work over night.

Turmeric paste: Take a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of turmeric followed by some milk. Mix them well until a thick paste is obtained. Clean your feet, apply a very thin layer of this paste on your feet. Leave it for 20-25 minutes. Wash it properly. P.S. you might get some yellowish colour due to turmeric so wash the paste properly and apply some moisturizer just after that.

 Oiling: After taking a bath when you apply moisturizer on your body apply 2-3 drops of some oil (olive, mustard, coconut etc) on your feet. This will help lock the moisture in the skin and your skin remains hydrated.
